Located on 5.5 acres (2.2 hectares) in the coastal town of Todos Santos in southwestern Mexico, the Paradero Hotel was designed by architects Ruben Valdez and Yashar Yektajo. Arranged around a low-lying garden, the complex draws inspiration from historic California missions.
It consists of a series of beige concrete structures designed to blend in with the landscape. Each volume contains rooms with wide walls, stairs and corridors, while the interior design was overseen by studio Guadalajara B Huber.
Clifftops is a collection of five seaside holiday homes in Dorset, England, designed by London studio Morrow + Lorraine.
Located on the Jurassic Coast, the development sits within large exposed walls that mimic the rocky cliff topography. Each cottage has stone and wood interiors and views of the English Channel.

Mexican firm PPAA designed Casa Octavia, a boutique hotel in Mexico City based on the Octavia fashion house, with interiors envisioned as an extension of the fashion house’s clothing.
PPAA clad the hotel’s façade with wooden latticework, shading the interior and creating delicate patterns of light. The interior features soft, neutral tones to provide guests with a peaceful environment in which to relax.
Californian studio RCR Arquitectes has designed eight luxury red concrete villas for the Palmares Ocean Living & Golf resort in Algarve, Portugal.
Part of a larger luxury development, the villas take on overlapping shapes, with projecting roofs and floor-to-ceiling windows.
