The guide also rates each hotel against up to 900 standards for the Forbes Travel Guide’s annual star ratings. While collecting surveys for star ratings, Forbes travel guides noticed an increase in efforts to transform hotel bars into special destinations, according to a press release.
Bars are ranked according to upscale standards that include drink creativity, location-based options, service, light snacks and overall bar experience. Food and beverage quality standards, including properly served beverages and the ability to meet all guest requests, were also factors.
The Phoenician Resort has undergone a $90 million renovation over the past few years, during which nearly every aspect of the resort has been updated.
