While Zoom is best used for video calls on your desktop or smartphone, you can also dial in if needed.

This feature can be especially useful for callers who are on the road without access to the smartphone or laptop app.
Additionally, if you find yourself having connections with your audio speakers, you can turn to the dial in option as a last resort.
To dial in a call, enter your country or city’s dial-in number, followed by the meeting ID and pound key.
If you are the host, you will be asked to enter a host key followed by a number before continuing. You can find this information at the bottom of an invitation or by reviewing Zoom’s international dial-in numbers.

You can find the information listed in the body of your invitation email, or by heading to the Zoom International Dial-In Numbers page online. 2.Dial the toll number using your iPhone or Android. You will be greeted with a message that says, “Welcome to Zoom. Enter your meeting ID, followed by #.” Do so at this time.

It’s one thing to be humiliated. It’s another to have footage of the incident circulating on the internet for anyone to see. Unfortunately, this is what is happening to victims of hijacking attacks on the Zoom video conferencing service.
Zoom Not Working? Here’s What To Do.
Now you can easily find video footage of “zoom-bombing” incidents on YouTube and TikTok. And some of the content is charming and disturbing.
One video posted on YouTube shows the culprit infiltrating church meetings held over Zoom to shout the words “child porn,” “hell keeper,” and “I am the devil” to over a dozen people. In the same video, the criminal calls out specific servants, saying that he wants to have sexual relations with them.
In a separate video posted on YouTube, the bomber infiltrates a meeting that includes a woman holding a child and yells obscenities at them. Another YouTube clip, with 97,000 views, features the hijacker telling a participant to “show their breasts” while calling another participant a “pedophile.”
Easily found the videos on YouTube with the search terms “zoom raid” and “zoom trolling.” These questions resulted in over two dozen videos dedicated to zoom trolling and zoom-related pranks. Later, YouTube’s algorithms began to recommend them to us.
Meet Face To Face From Any Device
You can also find similar content on TikTok, which shows shorter clips of various zoom hijacking incidents that involve berating teachers and disrupting online classes with curse words.
The hijackings occur because many users hold public meetings on Zoom without realizing that anyone—including malicious strangers—can participate in the same gatherings. In some cases, the perpetrators learn about the zoom sessions because the meeting details are shared on social media. In other cases, the hijackers deliberately ask people in online chats to post zoom meeting details for the purposes of “riding” them. On TikTok, we found many posts asking users to share details for upcoming Zoom meetings.
As a result, a wave of hijacking incidents spread across the country, exposing users to childish pranks, along with more serious forms of harassment, including racist abuse. However, victims of these attacks may not realize that they are also being recorded. And by uploading the footage, the perpetrators are not only exposing victims to further embarrassment on YouTube and TikTok; They are also infringing on their privacy.
On YouTube, the hijackers uploaded videos of them infiltrating Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings, showing the faces of participants. In the same videos, the Zoom bombers tell the participants “I love alcohol” during an AA session while drawing a picture of Hitler and swastikas during the Narcotics Anonymous meeting.

Other videos involve the culprits crashing online yoga sessions held over zoom as attendees perform the exercises. “I love staring at girls’ assets,” says one hijacker in a video. At the same time, zoom sessions often show people’s full names during the feed, which is then uploaded to YouTube and TikTok.
The recording can happen because the perpetrators are sitting behind a computer, which allows them to use desktop recording tools or even live streaming apps to save the footage and upload it to the Internet.
Whether YouTube and TikTok will take down the videos is less clear. In YouTube’s case, the platform has strict rules against hate speech and sexual content. However, a company spokesperson said earlier this week that it has no specific policy against zoom-bombing. So videos with the hijackers ridiculing people will not be enough for a takedown. It will be up to victims to file an abuse report, claiming that the video invades their privacy.
We’ve reached out to YouTube and TikTok for comment on the videos we found, and we’ll update this story when we hear back.

As for Zoom, the company on Wednesday announced that it now has over 200 million daily meeting participants, up from just 10 million last December when the video conferencing service was an enterprise-focused app. “We didn’t design this product with the prediction that in a few weeks, every person in the world would suddenly be working, learning and socializing from home,” Zoom CEO Eric Yuan wrote in a blog post (opens in a new window). “We now have a much broader set of users who are using our product in a lot of unexpected ways, which present us with challenges that we didn’t anticipate when the platform was conceived.”
In response to the increasing bombing incidents and other privacy controversies facing the company, Zoom is shifting all of its engineering resources to trust and safety projects. The company will also undergo a third-party audit to help vet security issues in the platform.
To stop potential hijackers from entering your Zoom meetings, you can consult our guide or check out the Zoom blog post (opens in a new window) on this topic. One of the main tips is to use the waiting room feature (opens in a new window), which will allow you to invite your guests while stopping intruders.
Update: YouTube has removed some of the videos, citing them for unwanted sexualization and hate speech. It is also noted that victims featured in the posted zoom bombing clips can ask YouTube to pull the videos down through a privacy complaint (opens in a new window).

“We remove content quickly when flagged by our users. Additionally, we have strong privacy guidelines to protect the privacy of all our users. If someone feels their privacy has been violated, they can file a complaint and we will review and remove any content in According to our guidelines,” the company added.
Update 2: Zoom says it is also alerting video platforms to take down Zoom bombing clips.
