The best time to visit Delhi is from October to March as the weather is at its best. Warm but tolerable!
Delhi isn’t nearly as bad as it’s portrayed (a bit like Mumbai – it’s pretty good there too). People tend to paint a picture of these manic cities where you just can’t have a good time because it’s too manic. This is definitely not true!
So don’t avoid Delhi because you’ve been told too. Trust me, if you did, you would never explore anything else in the world!

Getting to Delhi is very easy as it is the capital of India! You can easily fly there from the US, UK and Australia. Direct flights to Delhi from the UK are actually very cheap, making it a great place to visit.
If you are already in India, Delhi is easily accessible by bus and train from different parts of the country. I recommend AC 2nd and 3rd class for train travel as it’s simple but comfortable and the toilets are a bit less disgusting than the others (toilets will be disgusting anyway).
Bradley and I stayed 4 nights but also worked. However, there is plenty to see so you can easily fill your four nights. However, for a typical trip, I would recommend 2 or 3 nights. This makes it the perfect choice for a unique romantic weekend!

Lodhi Garden has always attracted couples with its beautiful setting, clean environment and architecture. This is a great place to walk and explore the tombs in the garden.
You can get here by subway, bus, rickshaw or Uber/Ola. The JLN subway station is closest to you. There are many places to eat nearby, so you can grab something to eat while walking.
