Carrico destroyed two small buildings near the western border of the block. We considered two plans, an office building and a hotel, and finally decided on a hotel while switching plans.
Carrico deliberately spelled the single ‘n’ as ‘Millium’ on billboards and official documents to make the name stand out more.
Shortly after opening the hotel, Carrico went bankrupt and was forced to sell. Kalikow Fulton Church Realty sold the Millium Hotel to City Developmentmts Limited (CDL) in Singapore in June 1994 for $75 million.

The World Trade Center Before The 9/11 Attacks
I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It was a decent experience. The hotel has everything you need for a nice visit. From the lovely variety of breakfast buffet, to the fitness center, the swimming pool, the steam room, the sauna and more. The staff was very kind, courteous and very helpful. The location of the hotel is a bit out of the way and you have to take a taxi to get to the city center. Good experience and no regrets.
