There is less rain in Alaska in August than in the early summer months, but with fewer people and lower prices, the benefits often outweigh the risks. Beach lovers will have their fill of sand in Sri Lanka in August, with good weather expected everywhere in the north, east and west. Less rain means a time of complete relaxation, and August also represents the end of the low season in Sri Lanka, with far fewer people.
