San Antonio’s Morgan’s Wonderland Caters To Kids With Disabilities

All heat is not created equal, y’all. We all know that Texas summers are not like other states. If you’ve ever … I’m embarrassed to admit that I’ve lived in Houston for 18 years and have only been to San Antonio a few times. It’s probably the easiest drive because you can just hop on I-10 and head west until you hit the city.

So if San Antonio is close to Houston and the drive was as easy as I claimed, why didn’t I spend more time in San Antonio?

Maybe because I hear there isn’t much to do here but see The Alamo and walk up and down the River Walk. Been there a few times and I was more than good at both of these things.

So when Melanie, my friend, and former co-worker, moved to San Antonio, I was happy for her professionally but secretly I thought “good girl, good luck with that”. Over the years, every time I talked to Melanie, she always had something funny to say about San Antonio. Where she and her husband went. where they ate Where they drank wine. And I never understood why she loved San Antonio so much. Honestly, I don’t get it. But looking back now, I probably didn’t try to get it because my mind was made up that San Antonio was a “hell not for me.”
